SECED 2015 is a 2-day conference on Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics. The event will take place between the 9th and 10th of July 2015 at Homerton College, Cambridge.
As experts in a whole range of structural dynamics problems – from small amplitude elastic vibrations through cyclical seismic demands, to large deformation monotonic blast loading with highly non-linear response, MMI is not only sponsoring and exhibiting at the event, but also presenting two papers on the 9th:
1. Development of Blast Resilient Glass Facades for World Financial Centre in New York
2. Condition Monitoring of Offshore Wind Turbines with Scour and Grout Damage in Monopile Foundations
The conference will bring together experts from a broad range of disciplines, including structural engineering, nuclear engineering, seismology, geology, geotechnical engineering, urban development, social sciences, business and insurance; all focused on risk, mitigation and recovery. The programme will provide an opportunity for both researchers and practitioners to share the latest knowledge and techniques for understanding earthquake risks, the dynamic behaviour of structures, and their impacts.
