MMI Engineering Ltd (MMI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Field as its new Resilience Practice Leader.
Caroline joins MMI from Buro Happold, where she managed the Risk & Resilience team and held a successful track record in implementing resilience strategies to protect against climate change, urbanization and globalization. She brings over 20 years of professional experience in the design and analysis of a wide range of structures for the built environment. This includes 15 years specializing in the field of structural resilience to extreme events – 12 of which were based in the United States. She is chartered with the ICE, is a licensed Professional Engineer in California, a Member of ASCE and a Member of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES).
In her role at MMI, Caroline will provide a more holistic approach to resilience that balances physical mitigations with adaptive capacity, considers shocks and stresses, and incorporates future trends analysis.
